Brian Chen
Brian Chen graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Riverside in Spring 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. He is currently completing the final quarter of his Master's program in Computer Engineering at the University of California, Riverside.
Since Summer 2024, Brian has also been working as an intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), where he has contributed to multiple projects involving artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs). His work includes developing LLM-based approaches for power system simulation code generation and contributing to PermitAI, one of the lab's largest LLM initiatives, focused on accelerating the federal environmental permitting process.
Alvin Hoang
Alvin Hoang graduated from the University of California, Riverside in Spring 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Engineering at the University of California, Riverside, and is expected to graduate in the Winter quarter of 2026.
Alvin is also currently an intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), where he has worked on various projects involving large language models and agentic systems. His projects involve LLM zero-padding optimization and LLM-based knowledge graph retrieval. Additionally, Alvin has attended and presented at both SC23 and SC24 for various other projects.
